The midway point can be found after exiting the sub-area. To the right are some moving sections of land, the latter of which has three platforms above it, and a Warp Pipe within it that leads to a room with coins, bricks, and a P Switch. There are also three ? Blocks, a few bricks, and a Goomba. Mario then has to swim past the last few Sushi and head up the pipe, which leads to the pole.Princess Peach's Castle can be seen in the background at the beginning of the level, just as in New Super Mario Bros. The player has to swim right as soon as the third Star Coin appears above. Another P Switch can be found, allowing Mario to collect more Blue Coins. The Sushi switch back to attacking from the right and Mario should avoid Pipes that spew bubbles. The player has to dodge the Sushi coming from the left, and then they can go through a Red Ring to collect the Red Coins. When Mario enters the underwater area again, he encounters a Roulette Block while avoiding the Cheep-Cheeps. From there, Mario can go right to enter a pipe leading upwards, which takes him to the area with the second Star Coin. Then, by going high as possible, the player can grab the first Star Coin. If the player hits it, it produces Blue Coins between Bumpers. The player can find a P Switch while swimming along this level. Sushi can be defeated quickly by Fire Mario's fireballs. Sushi appears at both the top and bottom of the screen, two each time. At this point, the screen scrolls automatically, and Mario is crushed if he gets stuck between the screen and a solid object. A ? Block containing a power-up can be found at the beginning. The level begins near a Warp Pipe, which takes the player into an underwater area.
